Argentina Real Estate Options for Your Retirement
The Argentina real estate scene is one of the things you have to look into when you are planning to retire in Argentina. Housing is always one of the biggest considerations you have to make when you are setting a target retirement income as it is likely to be your biggest single expense.
Argentina Real Estate Today:
The global recession has affected the economy of every country in the world. The Argentinean real estate market is no exception. Lately, the cost of real estate in Argentina has decreased by 30% to 70%. If you buy a real estate in Argentina today it is a great bargain. You should take your chance now of getting a good place in Argentina at a very low cost. It is not difficult to buy a house here because Argentina does not have any policies against foreigners buying real estate.
Think About Getting an Apartment
If you are planning to have your family around in Argentina with you at some point during your retirement, you might consider getting a large apartment. A large apartment in Argentina typically has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large kitchen and dining room, a sitting room and a maid’s quarters with its own separate back entrance. The cost of Argentina real estate is only 1/3 of what it costs in Europe, sometimes even lower. You can get a small apartment in Buenos Aires for as low as 175,000 US Dollars and you can expect the cost to go lower as you go farther from the big city. You also have the option of renting an apartment instead of buying one.
An expat neighborhood in the cityPalermo
- This is an expat neighborhood in the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires. The cost of real estate here is fairly reasonable. You will find houses available with nice English-style architecture that were built during the 1940s. The real estate here shows the promise of appreciation in the future. You would also find a lot of reasonably-priced rentals in gated communities here.
If you are feeling homesick, this place has stores that are fully stocked with American products you will most likely be familiar with.
Argentina Real Estate Outside Buenos Aires
If you want to live in a vineyard or simply want to live in a sprawling land when you retire, then you should go outside of Buenos Aires.
In Mendoza, you can get a 30 to 40-acre property suitable for a vineyard for as low as 75,000 US Dollars. You could even start your own wine-making business right here.
Bariloche is another place outside of Buenos Aires where the real estate is great for retirement. You could get a home here with a lakeside view for only 110,000 US Dollars. The place even has golf courses for retirees like you to enjoy.
